JEREMY ZERBE (MM) sees music in color. With this neurological condition (synesthesia), he interprets all sounds as a shifting landscape of light: an experience which has guided him towards multimedia storytelling. Zerbe’s film scores have premiered nationwide in Dolby Atmos, and his critically acclaimed theatrical compositions have been featured in Pepperdine University’s mainstage productions through immersive surround sound since 2021, where he also serves as an adjunct professor.
Zerbe’s work extends to commercial and digital media. His meditation and breath work music is featured on the Open App [Editor’s Choice Award], and his album orchestration for singer/songwriter ByHaze topped R&B charts on Apple Music [#2 Album, Dec. 2025]. His cello-centered compositions are featured in commercials, TV broadcasts, live experiences, and brand activations across LA.
Jeremy has written for distinguished ensembles including the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, PRISMA Orchestra in Boston, Sophia Symphony Orchestra, Con Brio String Orchestra, Brightwork New Music, and the Los Angeles Brass Alliance, collaborating closely with a network of internationally recognized session musicians and conductors. He is a member of the Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL), ASCAP, Golden Arrow PR, and the Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles. He received degrees in Music and Advertising from Pepperdine University, and a Masters in Music Composition from California State University Northridge.
Inspired by the full harmonic spectrum of his cello and a fascination with infinite sequences, Jeremy aims to create music that immerses the listener in a vivid sonic environment. Originally from the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, he is an avid hiker, camper, and world-builder for tabletop games. You can hear him perform throughout Los Angeles with orchestral and Celtic ensembles. Jeremy writes from his studio in the Hollywood Hills.
